I've completely stopped my hair loss with my current regimen based on lasers and folligen but I haven't had any substantial regrowth after about a year of use. Even though I've always said I don't like minox based products..I've decided to give promox a shot. I want to give regrowth one last effort before i save up for a transplant again. I completely credit lasers for giving me healthy hair again, but I'm hoping to kick the regrowth up a notch....if it doesn't work, at least i can say I've tried everything.
so I'm wondering, has anyone had any success with promox from Dr. Klein? I think it's a very interesting topical with its combined ingredients...minox, tretinoin, azeleic acid, progesterone, and finesteride....it's an interesting combination of blocking dht and kick starting the follicle

...and before anyone jumps on this as an example that lasers don't work...i would argue that one, I'm being impatient....more time may yield more growth....and two, lasers have definitely saved the hair i have left and made them thicker, darker and better looking in appearance. I'm using the promox because I want to see if it will enhance my regimen. I bought a 4 month supply to use in conjunction with my current regimen....if I don't see any change after that...then i'm calling it quits with the promox..and sticking solely with the lasers and folligen.
but back to the original question....does anyone have any comments on the effectiveness of Promox?

Anything that at least stops your hair loss is a good thing! I used ProMox off and on a few times - it definitely worked for me really well. I only used it 3x/day not the 4x recommended. Did you get the spray? I really liked it because it can almost be a substitute for hair spray The foam caused me some skin flaking and initial irritation from the retin-a, but it also REALLY got rid of that upper layer of skin too which I think could be a good thing. If what you're doing now + the promox doesn't get you extra results I don't think there is much out there that is going to grow that hair back for you. "Don't be afraid to see what you see. "

so my product arrived today....my first impressions are that I like how promox feels initially on the scalp, almost soothing, but I do not like the initial scent...fortunately that fades in a few minutes. It's not a bad scent, but i would prefer no scent at all. As a minus, I would point out that it's been almost twenty minutes and my hair still feels a little greasy, which is contrary to what I had read about his products. Other's have said that it dries within minutes, but I'm guessing that it takes about 30 minutes to be fully dry.

when i spoke to dr. klein he said that I would need the lotion and the spray and that I should use the lotion in the morning and night.and the spray twice in between. That's 4 times a day using minox! He also said that it would take 9 months to see real growth with best results coming at the 2 year mark.
I'm going to stick with using it twice a day...morning and night...and the night application will come after using LLLT on the nights I do that. And I'm only giving it a 4 month trial....if I don't see any change then for the better then I'm done with it....the stuff is too expensive to give it a 9 month trial.

Has he ever made a topical finasteride for anyone... Without the minox? I have filled out his questionnaire and e-mailed him about this but he seems to avoid it. I live about 15 mins from his office.... but i don't want to show up there and ask... if he hasn't responded so far. I would feel creepy ![]()
