While any product that lowers DHT and/or T may cause reduced libido and sexual disfunction, there are a whole host of other medicines that can reduce libido without affecting either DHT and/or T. An example that comes to mind for me is Benedryl (diphenhydramine hydrochloride), the most common OTC antihistamine. It wipes out my sex drive for 24 or more hours after taking it. Summer heat and stress can also take its toll.
Let list is endless.

Medicines affect people differently. Benadryl might give some people libido issues but not others - that is the same with most medicines that effect libido, including propecia/avodart. Anything prescription that kills pain for me usually completely kills my libido - I have a friend who it is the exact opposite for. "Don't be afraid to see what you see. "

The heat issue is real for some, with heat causing prolactin levels to increase, affecting libido.

Well, look at it this way, in hot sunny weather, people wear less clothes. Less clothed bodies (men's and women's) will arouse at least thoughts of sex -when you look at them. No two can argue about that. But even the person who's showing more skin will have sexual thoughts. Also, people who live in sunny climates feel happier than people who live in dark rainy ones and many of the latter suffer from depression (SAD) during Winter. That too is a fact. I believe when you feel happy you also think more about sex while when you're depressed you think much less about it. I know I used to think more about sex in summer. Just a couple of days ago I was listening to the radio and they were talking -though not in a serious way- and some guy was saying "people who live in warm climates tend to have more sex because they show more skin and we know what that leads to, while people who live in cold climates are always covered up...." Not exact words but basically the same thought I had. I didn't think much of my statement when I said it. I thought it was something obvious. You see more skin and more often, you will have more sexual thoughts and desires. Simple.
