Dr. Lee's (minoxidil.com) view on lasers

Hey there. I'm back for good.

I recently asked Dr. Lee about his thoughts on lllt. This is what he answered:

"what do you think of lasers as a MPB-treatment?" "Not much. I have a lot of reservations about the efficacy of the LaserComb for the treatment of MPB. The laser can and does alter the cuticles of the hair, so that the hair shafts have a better cosmetic appearance, but I'm not convinced that the laser comb promotes hair growth.

I was at the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery Meeting held in San Diego in December 2006, where it was shown that the data reported by the HairMax Laser Comb (http://www.baldingblog.com/2006/08/03/analyzing-the-results-of-the-hairmax-laser-comb/) to the FDA was seriously flawed and did not in fact support any positive results. Richard Lee, M.D."

I thought I'd share this. What do you think about it? Btw can't I change the topic title anymore?

Once again, you're missing so many points to all of this... all laser therapy isn't equal, my man.

Hey Amsch! Welcome back!

Did you notice that good old Dr. Lee was talking about the LASERCOMB? I think a lot of guys here would probably have reservations about the efficacy of the lasercomb as well. A powerful (many diodes), densely packed, diffused device though? I wonder what good old Dr. Lee would say about that? Oh wait....who cares?

@jlc08: Thanks! That's why I asked why it isn't possible to edit the message title. I wanted to change it to laser(comb), but it's not possible.

Then if that is really what you want to do, why don't you click "edit message" and write right under it in all caps "THIS IS ABOUT A LASER COMB".

I doubt Dr. Lee has any sort of in depth knowledge about laser therapy to begin with. Since he never gave the caveat of "a laser comb isn't true laser therapy, which requires a certain amount of energy to the scalp -which the laser comb DOES NOT"... that shows me that he doesn't even know about that.

Who cares what these dinosaurs think anyway?! Seeing someone like Dr. Lee saying that he doesn't think laser combs works makes me want to RUN OUT AND BUY ONE.

...And on a side note, I know what you're doing, Amsch. Your "loaded language" email yesterday really spelled that out very clear. Be careful... you're the type whose feelings get hurt, and you're going to get hurt if you keep trying to push that crap on us.

WTF are you talking about OverMachoGrande? DAMN! So please tell where I used "loaded language" and tell me "what I'm doing". You act like I attacked you on that mail, did I do that? Can't remember that. I remember you are the one calling me "idiotic" and started being sarcastic (remember that toppik thing?).

If you're looking for an apologize, you won't get one. You're bashing pretty much everyone who says something against lasers.

You know what I'm trying to do? Well, I know what YOU are trying to do.
