.25mg Propecia EOD Has anyone tried this and had any positive effects on hair. I was on propecia 1mg for about a year which ive been off of for about 7 months. Since getting off my hair has been shedding alot more and has itched like hell. Therefore, i decided to try .25 EOD which a bottle will last about 8 months. Thanks

I've read about this and it seems that 0.20 mg per day was the smallest effective dose but you may want to check on that. I am reducing my proscar from 1.25mg per day to 0.5 and then down to 0.5 EOD. You may not get results less than that. I'll see if I can find a link. http://www.hairlosshelp.com/forums/messageview.cfm?catid=10&threadid=55044&FTVAR_MSGDBTABLE=

Re: .25mg Propecia EOD I cant tried find the graph mate. But I think as long as the dose is about 0.25mg per day it still can be effective. Not as effective but 70% as effective or so.Going any lower then 0.25mg did cause problems. I want to do 0.25mg a day but I want a good topical DHT blocker and so far I have seen nothing. I am thinking Fluridril and Revivogen but not sure if they can be applied together!

Messmorph: Finasteride, does have a low response curve, i.e., a smaller dose seems to work close to as well as a larger dose. However, 0.25mg may be a bit on the low side. You may wish consider 0.05mg per day. Originally, I believe Revivogen recommended that you wait 3 hours prior to applying another topical. But, I'm not sure this is still the case. The info used to be listed on their website, probably still is. As far as topical DHT blockers go Dr. Klein's Promox contains Finasteride, Azelaic Acid, and Progesterone. It also contains Retin-A which may help inhibit the synthesis of DHT when used long term. Promox is very clean, suitable for AM use, and is available upon request without Retin-A. Dr. Lee has recently come out with Xandrox 15 plus which contains Finasteride. Do to the nature of the formula it's better suited for PM use before bed.
