minimum 5-6 months but best results after 1 year. Do some more reading on propecia not the greatest for the body.

BobTheBuilder, i looked up what propecia can do and thats a little nasty. Do you guys have any suggestions? I dont like rogain because of teh way it makes your hair smell and feel while applying it, but any suggestions would be greatle appreciated.

For internals look at probiotics, garlic etc... For lotion use either Promox or nanominox and good organic shampoo.

I don't think propecia has done much for me but it's hard to know. There certainly hasn't been much regrowth and I've taken it for about two years but maybe, it's helped me keep what I have. In any case, I'm sick of it and am moving up a notch to dutasteride. I'm a little bit worried about possible side effects but ready to take the plunge.

Thor i thought the same thing taking it for 8 months...i think you just forget how your hair felt when you were off the drug cause after quiting only .5mg a day i experienced a huge increase in inflammation

Well, I'm 33 now so maybe, it's just that I'm geting older and it's getting less effective (although, it never was effective really unless it's stopped me losing hair). Anyway, AFAIK, Dutasteride is supposed to be more effective.

I did'nt notice anything after 4mths. But my hairdresser and friends did! Because you see your hair on a daily basis it's difficult to see results. After 6-7mths i could see it for myself particulary in photos. Never give up because it could be retaining what you have left at the very least.
