Ingredients that work against Minoxidil We already know that Caffeine works against Minoxidil by blocking Adenosine receptors. Are there any other ingredients that work against Minoxidil? Recently there was a discussion that zinc maybe could.

I'm wondering the same thing, since switch from Minox to Minomuck and Joe advising me against the use od a zinc shampoo inconjuction with Minox (witch I was doing for the last year) I have seen improvment. Don't know if its from the stop of the zinc use or the start of minomuck.

Regarding minoxidil : does anyone know why the hairs grown with minoxidil are "minox-dependent" ? And does this count for adenosine as well ? It may be a problem with ketoconazole as well : hairs grown with keto shed quickly after stopping the therapy (source : the 2007 Japanese keto study).

Is it an accepted fact that caffeine and minox work antagonistically? I've read that before. If one uses minox, should they DEFINETELY not use caffeine?

Most likely cello_miami: http://regrowth.com/hairloss-forums/viewthread.cfm?f=1&t=18955 I don't think so J87X, because it's not known if green tea reduces VEGF. And since there are studies that show that green tea grows hair, it's unlikely.

How much caffeine does green tea contain? That's the question I was trying to get answered in the adenosine thread.

I was told that it isn't possible to get the caffeine out of the green tea, so you will always have some caffeine in it. But how much, I don't know.

Why would revita shampoo recommend Spectral DNC and visa versa if one has minox and the other has caffeine?
