I Stopped Rogaine, Shedding Won't STOP Hi Guys,For over a year, I was using Rogaine 5% all over my head, from crown to front and didn't see any results, in fact...my hair appeared to become thinner. The only regrowth I saw were hairs that I originally shed when I started Rogaine. Because of this, I stopped using it and rather let my body naturally take its course. The shedding started about 1 month after I stopped Rogaine and has been going on for a little over a month now...it doesn't seem to be stopping. My question is for those who have knowledge about the shedding after stopping rogaine. How long can this go on for and will I grow my old hairs back? Any advice would be greatly appreciated Thanks

personally, shedding scares me so i would get back on the minox. ive cut my minox down to once a day. ive been using dmso 5% in the pm and my hair has been doing pretty well. copper pepptides also make a difference for me. i also think that the scalp doctor shampoo might have played a part. who knows.. im waiting on the hot shit to come in the mail. i wonder if anyone has tried any of the stuff that i have listed on the thread titled last hope. ill be sure to let you know how that stuff turns out. together we may slay this wildebeast known as alopecia. she is an ungrateful whore who thrives off of misery. thats ok alopecia.. i have something for that ass. yes sir.. i shall defeat thee and frolic in your downfall. chubby kid out

hey chore boy..thanks for the reply. I am so deep into the shedding process that getting back on minox doesn't seem like the next logical step. The results I had were not worth staying on the routine. I've shed so much hair, you figure some of it has got to grow back right? I just want back what I had damn it. Maybe the answer is patience? Anyone else go through a similar scenario?

rck....just because you didn't see regrowth from Rogaine does not mean it wasn't working. It was helping you keep the hair you have. Since you have been on it for a year or so you definitely have some hairs that are dependent on the minox to survive. In short Rogaine works to a degree on almost everyone. It was working for you as well. You should get back on it as quickly as possible. Just my humble opinion.

Thanks for your opinion zix...I will give it a few more weeks and if I don't see the hairs comeback I will get back on it.
