Minoxidil not helping, what else is there? I'm not regrowing any hair and I've been using Minoxidil products since 1999. It seems like my recession is getting worse. At the very least, Minoxidil has slowed my hairloss a bit but not anymore. I used Rogaine,Xandrox,Spectral DNC, MiN lotion, topical Flutamide, topical 5% Spironolactone Propecia, Avodart and many others in the past. What else is there? I can't shave my head because I have scars and a bald batch from a hair "replacement"(it was sutured on my scalp-dumbest thing I did). Sorry this is long but I don't know what else to use. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

Jetman, I know this is not what you want to hear but you may have a condition that just won't respond to any great degree from treatment. All I can tell you is to go back to basics. If you cut DHT in the scalp you may not stop further hair loss but you will slow it down. I would consider going back on propecia. Then get the prescription Nizoral 2% and use that as directed. Stick with minox and find one more topical that is an anti-androgen. Once you're doing all these things forget about your hair and enjoy life.

You`re screwed just like me and most others. There`s nothing out there yet to bring it back. I hate it,but it`s (my) reality. Either you lose it or you don`t. No control over this genetic defect. Nobody should lose their hair, but what can you do? God damn luck of the draw.

What about topical Finasteride(Propecia)? GenHair has a 5%Minoxidil and .025%topical Finasteride lotion. I am using MiN daily wash with Procapil, Copper Y-3 and Saw Palmetto in it. Thanks for the respone-I'm looking forward to more info.

One of the more knowledgeable posters on this forum recently said a new treatment is expected on the market in 2-4 months. He said he would post about it here when it comes out.

Hey Jetman, I did the "sutured" hair replacement system years ago, too, and also have the scars from that horrible and hasty decision. I can't remember what it was called, only that they had a "recall" a few months after I had it done. What a traumatic situation that was. I gave up on the fake hair and attacked my problem with all of the available topicals, pills, lasers and shampoos out there. And, like you, I've only slowed down my hair loss. I don't know what to tell you, but just wanted you to know that you are not alone with the frustration and helplessness. Hopefully, someday soon, they will come out with a product that will replace what we once had. Then we can get on with our lives.

Jetman, I am using a lithium chloride and DMSO solution, along with "gentle wounding" with lancet needles, and everyone I have asked to look at my scalp since I started is seeing better results than I was getting with just Spectral DNC and Revita. I have also been doing a ton of research on magnesium, which I will be trying transdermally by using a form of magnesium chloride "oil," as well as taking internally as MG citrate. I will start a post about it when I get enough time to do it justice. I am coming to believe that chronic magnesium deficiency may play a significant role in MPB. I am also planning on using lasers at some point.
