high aromatase level due to finasteride: looking for a natural solution Hello, I'm a long date finasteride/dutasteride user, well let's say that they had some effects on me, but the most important was idric retehention. After some talking with other users and with my doctor I realised that it's due to finasteride and high aromatase level reached in my body from testosterone conversion. Now I wanted to solve this problem using something natural but I can't choose among the following: 1) 7-hmr lignan 2) chrysine 3) DIM I understood quite well how 7-hmr works but didn't have any clue about DIM and chrysine, is there anyone that can give me any suggestion?

I was wondering the same thing. I'm on Fin as well and have been taking it with 7-hmr to block Estradiol increases. But also am thinking of adding something else to prevent aromatase. Should nettle be added? Or would this negate using Fin by increasing Test and DHT?

Chrysine doesnt work in vivo. I`m a long time propecia user too btw, after i started taking 7HMR this huge itching and shedding started .... It might be a coincidence though...

as I understood chrysine works only if you mix it wirh black pepper extract standardized in piperine. 7-hmr and shedding? ouch! So the best is looking to be DIM?

I am looking for the same answers.. I did not use fin or dut but I did have water retention. (and terrible moods because of estrogen) I used HRM , but it didn't help. (it did help a bit though for my wellbeing and mood) The nettle root however was a success. i too want to try: DIM, Kudzu root, calcium glucarate and I3C... anyone experience with those?

clemenza: i'd have to guess estrogen. because i eliminated all other possibilities: no NaCl, no insuline/high carbs it allways was worse when i lifted weights (the days after the work out). Lifting weights would actually increase test. but i think therefore there is more available to convert to estrogen.

You wont KNOW specifically what to do until you have the results in front of you....Then you need a good doc to evaluate....and recommend a treatment plan based on symptoms and the test results.... You may just have low test...Or high E2....or need to block conversion (aromotase) (clomid/tamox).... Best test to see if Estrogen is "optimal" is if you wake up w/an erection....Morning wood=good levels....No wood, something needs adjusted.... Remember, when you influence one hormone, it plays a role in the entire endocrine system... Unless you can get the blood work and anazlze the results yourself, I wouldnt self medicate....
