actually, i didn't pick the name 'Greece', and it won't let me switch back to 'daver', like i was before the crash. I saw someone else with this same name here. and this wacked forum won't email me thread update notices either.

i've never been to Greece, but i'm going to England this month Ü. thanks for your help..

Immortal,

Do you think I should drop the supplements? Its so difficult to tell what is hurting and what is helping. I do have to say that IH6 cured the propecia side effects of shitty sex.. I just don't know what to do.

I will probably start avodart and keep up the supplements as of now..

Richlocks - have you thought about getting a blood test before leaving naturals? Having done more research this weekend it would seem that your SHBG is very low - result of increased testosterone - which is the opposite of my situation - high estrogen. Why? Increased body hair and libido are direct result of high test.

Where has your loss gotten worse? I am betting more toward the crown -cause of increased DHT. What are your green tea numbers? GT should increase SHBG and help give u balance. Please see this thread with pictures, from someone, concerning estrogen vs. testosterone (DHT) loss:

Hope this helps.

richlocks I think the increase in libido would indicate a drop in estogen and an increase in testosterone - which is what u want. obviously the shedding is another story

In the end, take the libido over the fin sides - I'm assuming you already have a woman? I think she would prefer a performing bald man over a limp mop head.

Ozguy and Rich

Testosterone is great and what you want, but too much of it will drive your SHBG too far down and increase your hair loss. What you want is enough testosterone to keep your libido but not enough that hair is lost - due to conversion into dht. It is about balance. In this case it is about balance with respect to SHBG. Too high gives you estrogen related loss, too low give you testosterone loss.

If hair loss and high libido are hand in hand then Green Tea needs to be added to increase SHBG to a more balanced level.

I am quite certain of this because my recent loss accompanied low libido and dry skin - due to high SHBG (estrogen) because I was using too much GT. Thus, I had to do the opposite of Rich, which is increase Grape seed, lignans and nettle to drive my SHBG down - attack aromatase.

Keep at it Rich. You are simply responding too "sharply" it seems to Nettle and Lignans. Either drop them and keep the rest going or increase your GT intake.

Update.. just stopped IH6 cold roughly 2 weeks ago.. and my sex drive has gone way down.. its really amazing how that this regimen has a significant effect on sex drive and hormonal balance.. now the question is what do I do now?

I am upgrading to DUT, and thinking which IH6 regimen pieces to add (and how much) to get my sex drive up without losing hair.

richlocks am i right in thinking that you are experiencing entirely positives from the IH6 regimen apart from what you consider to be the most important factor, the state of your hair? If this is the case then it would be foolish to go off it as there are solutions to this problem that can compliment your current regimen.

I agree with militant in that the excess testosterone you are producing is being converted into DHT, and since propecia is not helping you anymore this is why your hair has deteriorated. The key is to protect yourself from this DHT attack by using avodart and trying topicals like revivogen, emu oil, spiro...to see what works for you.

If you only want to bring in certain supplements, then you should trial particular ones on their own for a fortnight or so each to see what effect each one has. If its causing acne/itchy scalp drop it/change dose....better sex drive, keep it. We all react differently as demonstrated by your poor reaction to the top 6, so you need to find out what works for you.
