Topical Finasteride I'm 24 and my hairloss is still in the early stages, but becoming more noticeable in my crown area. I tried taking finasteride and within 1 week had the sexual side effects that many people report. I stopped taking it and within a few days the side effects went away.My question is this: If I crushed the tablets up in a cream or solution would this A) be effective, and B)get rid of the side effects? If not, what other suggestions do you have? I've also been using Minoxodil 5% for about 3 weeks now.

www.lipoxidil.com used to sell topical finasteride but they had to stop for legal reasons, even though it is still mentioned on their website. a cheaper alternative is the "FINASTERIDE lotion" or "FINASTERIDE WITH GREEN TEA EXTRACT lotion" sold at : http://www.genhair.com/hair-loss-treatments.html

i know dut can be effective topically but at the same time can give you sexual sides. Though if you use the right amount, it probably shouldn't. Just takes plenty of experimentation.

Has anyone that had side effects taking finasteride orally had any success using a topical preperation? Also, does anyone know how much could be effective topically that would help avoid side effects?

"Not me" Thanks man for the elaboration. Have you really had any experience with the drug or did you just feel like posting?

Did dissolving finasteride in minoxidil give you any side effects? Do you have side effects taking the drug orally?
