IMMORTAL i need your advice (FINASTERIDE user)

I am in my late 20`s and i`ve been using fin for more than 5 years with pretty good results,i mean fin halted my hairloss ,i`m a norwood 2 (if not 2 than is 1.8)right now.Very little loss of libido ,no signs of gyno.AGA history in my family:my father NW 4 at 50,mothers father NW 6 at 60,my fathers father NW 1 at 71.I`m on fin 1mg,fish oil,Nature's Bounty Farm Direct Cold-Milled Organic Flax Seeds, curcumin, cocoa powder natural unsweetened. As the time goes by i can see that im losing ground (hair) from my temples.Very little ,still nedetectable loss, but hell i know i`m losing. There is no shedding just very little very slow loss.I happy with my look right know but i`m trying to cheat time and thats why i need your advice.

Make my regimen more powerfull please.I was thinking going on you top 6 or top 10 after spending a lot of time on your site,i just dont know if there will be some adverse effects because the mixing of fin and a whole bunch of naturals..You are the Guru of all internals ,help me please.I want to keep on with fin, feel free adding anything or cutting anything from my regimen, any advice is welcome.Thanks. Sorry for the long read and for my english.

Hounty. I am also on most of Immortals stuff and fin. I have had no side effects from taking both. The only thing I didn't take was nettle root.

Yeah, I just started Immortals top 6. I'm in m late 20's also and I've been on Propecia for 2 years and don't plan on stopping either. I was curious about the same issue. So far so good though. No noticeable sides. My girlfriends a nurse and she thinks its to much...I can't believe how many pills im downing a day though, I feel like its overkill...

CHARL1E why do you feel like its overkill?Immortals top six(or more) its good not just for your hair but it is very good for your general health too.It take care of inflammation, estrogen , and a lot of other bad things... At this moment in my life i feel like it is very important to control hairloss and if i need to take fin and a bunch of other pills a day i will do it because i dont want to wake up one morning NW 3-4 and than start thinking about spending like 10000$ to get an acceptable look. It is overkill if you keep losing hair if not be happy and continue what are you doing.

Ps The best motivation for me to keep fighting hairloss is my best friend from highschool who in 5 years ,starting around 21 ,went from norwood 1 to 6. Boy i`m popping those pills like there is no tommorow.....

Hounty - Same as Bopcity but probably taking more supplements. No improvement on Fin alone, loss halted on IH's regimen with thickening and I am monitoring for some major regrowth.

I am very satisfied with downing all of those pills.

Hounty - While finasteride is my opinion is completely unnecessary, I'd try the "6" or the "10" as they are.

Each has their own unique angle on hair loss.

Also, I'll comment on the "over kill." With all due respect, nurses do not know very much; and I'm sorry to say that doctors are usually no help either.

I work in Orthomolecular medicine, which basically means a type of medicine that focuses on the "right" amount of natural substances to allow optimal functioning.

A doctor's education is riddled with misinformation. Their entrenched pharmaceutical-based training only reinforces the "drug" thinking.

Natural substances are rarely carcinogenetic, genotoxic or harmful in any way. The media without medical expertise goes on a limp to discredit many safe naturals.

Doctors are trained to think in terms of toxicity, as most of the medicines they work with are always laced with concerns of toxicity. Hence they naturally give pause to naturals.

Honest physicians will readily admit they have no training or knowledge about naturals. The often touted advice to "talk to your doctor about..." isn't always a worthwhile pursuit.

I think it's important to emphasize that these naturals are not only hair positive, they are enormously positive for health, so much so that they address significant preventative measures for a number of "ageing" diseases.

In other words, several common afflictions will be flat out prevented. Lastly, prescription drugs account for so many deaths, it's a shame that supplements are so beaten down by the mainstream. Advertising revenue probably has partial role in that influence.

Mike - There a several good companies who turn out excellent products and will provide an assay of their quality upon request.

Stick with the brands that you trust. I find that many of the poor products are found in non-health food stores; places like drugs stores, and other markets, marts whatever.

Once you feel comfortable with brands you trust, the hard work is done.

Hounty - I feel like its overkill because I take more pills than my grandmother. The most pills I've ever taken in my life is 2 a day (propecia and a daily vitamin). So I "feel" like its overkill b/c I've never taken this many supplements at once. I don't "know" that its overkill, else I wouldn't be on Immortals top six. My hair is still in good shape and I am in the same boat as you...Preservation and hopefully a little regrowth. I am also very concerned about spending the big bucks on a transplant in the future and would do anything to avoid losing. So...I'll keep popping away.

Immortal - Thanks for all your information.

Also Immortal - I am currently on your top six (only for a week so far) I know your not an advocate for Propecia but I strongly believe that it is working for me and I experience no sides. 2 years so far. Do you think that combining your top six with it is ok? Could I possibly be lowering the effectiveness of the Propecia? I think this is similar to what Hounty started the thread about.
