Nizoral and Minoxidil A few questions for my fellow soldiers...haha1) How often should i use nizoral and how long should it be left on my scalp?? 2) I am going to start using 5% minoxidil as my crown is starting to recede a bit...i was wondering, is the kirkland minoxidil as effective as the rogaine brand??? i was looking on ebay and its pretty cheap to get a 2 month supply??? just wanted to be sure its legit! 3) Due to the extremely cheap cost involved, i was thinking about making up my own batch of zix and trying that for a while?? Besides that one guy on here, is there anyone else who has anything to say about it?? 4) Due to the near non-existent success rate with minoxidil around the temples, is it worth applying it there still?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

1) I use 2-3 times / week and leave it in for 5min 2) I would use 5% rogaine, its fairly inexpensive on ebay for 6month supply 3)? 4) wont hurt to give it a shot. Just a little background on me, I have been using Nizoral 2% and Minox 5% for about 2 months now and I no longer see my scalp in the crown area. They seem to be working great together. I can't wait for the results after 6months!

Is there any reason not to use Nizoral everyday?

Blur: Don't use Kirkland brand Minoxidil myself, but it's legit. In the USA "Kirkland" is the in store name brand for many products by Costco. A major menbership discount retailer. 5% Minoxidil is 5% Minoxidil. All generic brands I'm aware of are greasy, same as Rogaine. This is because of the content of the base solution. The only non-greasy Minoxidil I know of is Dr. Lee's. Minoxidil can work on the frontal areas, has for me. So, I'd apply it there. Nizoral shampoo should be left on for 3 to 5 minutes and used 3 or 4 times a week. You could use Nizoral every day if you so wish. However, it will tend to dry out your hair and should be followed by a good conditioner [any you like is fine]. But, shampoo rotation generally leaves your hair nicer, MPB or not. As far as ZIX goes, my opinion is as follows. Even if you get it for free I would use the stuff. Why? The the key to success is religiously following a simply proven routine. Put too much into the mix, especially in the beginning, and it becomes too much of a hassle. Topical treatments should be all but undetectable and leave your hair as nice as possibe after application. Zix falls far short of this standard. If you're using Minoxidil, I really doubt Zix will provide much, if any, additional benefit.

sandman... thanks, im a canadian and i didnt realize that kirkland is the generic brand....in our drugstores here its usually "life" brand....so thats good to know....im currently bidding on a 6 month supply of rogaine 5% on ebay and it looks like it will end up costing me about 45$ american....which is FAR cheaper than i can buy the 2% in Canada...(u cant buy 5% in canada, u probably knew that tho!) i cant believe how cheap it is...its almost hard to believe! but i see TONS of auctions around the same price so i bet its legit! ya i use 2% nizoral about 4 times a week....and i after that i use "instantly Thick" weightless hair conditioner by marc anthony...its not too expensive and seems to work pretty good! ya, im highly skeptical of ZIX right now as well.... thanks for the info!
