Nizoral Shampoo Question.. Just bought the Nizoral shampoo for the first time. What i wanted to know is which strength is best to use? the 1% or the 2%? I bought the 1% because i haven't used the stonger shampoo before just incase the 2% is a little too much on my scalp.i believe my other remedies by using Nutrifolica (Natural DHT inhibitor/Hair regrowth) and RegenHair along with using the laser device for the third week now, i am very happy with the quick results, the only thing i was missing was a good shampoo so i have heard alot abot Nizoral and decided to add it with my remedy. How well has Nizoral worked for the ones that have used it? What is recommended the most between the 1% and 2%? Thanks

The 2% is more effective then the 1% because it has twice the amount of the active ingredient!

I've been using nizoral for my widow's peak + 5% Minox with Retin A. Not really helping much.

I've been using Niz for about 6 months.. originally going with the 2 or 3 times a week plan.. in the last month or so, I've started using it daily, with no irritation to my scalp at all I've seen excellent regrowth with the combination of 2% Niz, Proscar and 5% Minox

johnh, It depends what country you live in or state etc I actually live in australia and just started to use Nizoral a week ago. usually Australia's medications and other products are always on perscription however i was shocked to see it in a big pharmacy store in a shopping centre the other week. i did a double look saying, "is this the Nizoral shampoo every1 is talking about?" They had Nizoral 1% and 2% to buy off the shelves so i would say you dont need a perscription at all.
