Why is Dr.Lee so paranoid about Avodart? Hi!I'm a 30 years old male. I´ve used Propecia, Rogaine 5% and Nizoral 2% for 4 years (no sideeffects at all from Propecia). I'm still a Noorwood 1-2 but I want to be fully 'cured' for my hairloss. That is why I've decided to make the Avodart swith (0.5 mg every day). I guess 'the big 3' have helped me to keep what I have, but I'm freaking desperate about my temples and my frontal area!! Should I worry about sideeffects or no effect at all when it comes to Avodart?? And why is Dr. Lee so paranoid about Avodart?? Regards from a Dane

Side effects are similar with Avodart and Propecia. In regards to Dr. Lee, he does respond to e-mails personnally. I would ask him.

More people using Avodart means less people using Xandrox and 5% spiro.

Thanks for your reply. I guess I might as well ask Dr. Lee himself about his worries about Avodart. The reason for my question in the first place is, that I on most websites, including this one, have read mostly positive things about Avodart. I guess member 18641 is making a good point - Dr. Lee can't sell his stuff if people like us start using Avodart. On the other hand I've used Propecia for 4 years and it has not been a miracle pill for me. As mentioned before I guess it has helped me to keep what I got, but I want to see some fucking regrowth in my temple area and my frontal area!! That's why I'm sceptical about Avodart. I want to see some results, before I can be positive any sort of hairloss treatment. My own doctor thinks I'm playing Russian roulette with my helth. She says that her 'hand is shaking' every time she has given me my prescription for Propecia. She also made me see a dermatologist when I asked her for Avodart. He was cool about giving me a prescription for Avodart. I've now used it for 3 weeks (0.5 mg every day). No sideeffects at all - hard erections and the constant male thoughts about sex with beautiful women. I'm sorry to hear what Avodart has done to your face member 18661. I've also been thinking about adding some Xandrox 15% to my regime, so I use Rogaine 5% (it's called Regaine here in Denmark) in the morning and and the high concetration minoxidil in the evening. I've been told that the azelaic acid containded in Xandrox 15% should be very good for the temple area. Any response from you is very much appreciated!! Regards from a Danish male

Well my side effects didnt get real noticable until the 8 month mark then it continued to get worse by the day. But that doesnt mean it will happen to you. Good luck and avodart worked incredably for my hair. Best thing i ever used for hair.

18661-sorr y to hear about the side effects. I hope you are feeling better. 18641-I am using Xandrox and Spiro with Avodart although I have been thinning/receding for a over 20 years. The younger/more hair someone has, the better.

Hi Jetman and member 12705. I would be very happy if you could give me a topical suggestion! Right now I'm only using Rogaine 5% every evening and sometimes mornings too - I'm usually very busy in the morning. As mentioned before I've switchted to Avodart 0.5mg 3 weeks ago. Hairwash happens on average every other day. My hair feels good whenever I have used the Nizoral 2% shampoo, but I also have the impression that it makes my scalp very dry?? Therefore I'm only using it once a week now. I've been thinning/hairline receding (but not dramaticly) since I was 19-20 years old (I'm 30 years old now). Based on my hairline I would categorize myself as a Norwood 1-2, but the hair in my frontal area looks a little bit thinner than the hair on the back of my scalp. What kind of Xandrox (15% or 5%) or perhaps another kind of topical should I add to my regime, in order to see some regrowth in my temples, and make the hair in frontal area thicker?? Thanks very much in advance.

Thanks for the advice, but 5mg of Avodart?!? Are you a very rich person?!? I've heard about people taking 2,5mg Avodart a day. I think, I will replace some of the Rogaine I use with Xandrox 15%.....spending 600 dollars on a laser comb seems like an awful lot of money. I doubt the credibility of that product, but I'm openminded if scientific results should appear...
