Yes, tons of people are using Nizoral. It's considered one of the "Big Three" along with Propecia and Minoxidil!

Yeah, I just want to make sure its ok to use it everyday, because instructions say a couple times a week for like 6 weeks?

I think most people use it as per the instructions on the bottle, I'm not sure that even more regular use than that will increase its effectiveness. What else are you using? It does tend to make my hair feel a little brittle anyway so invest in a good conditioner too.

I don't think there is anything wrong with using it everyday, however, I think that is unnecessary. I use it three times per week and it takes care of my dandruff (from using minoxidil) and keeps my scalp almost squeaky-clean. As to why your doc said to use it everyday, it would probably be better to give him a call and ask him because I don't know your medical history, etc..

A good alternative to straight Nizoral 2% would be Dr. Lee's shampoo. It's a little more expensive (surprise) but it's got 2% Ketoconazole (active ingredient in Nizoral) in it along with 3% Salicylic Acid. Overall I think it's just as effective, if not better than 2% Nizoral. In addition, I've found that it actually helps to thicken up your hair as opposed to making it all dry and brittle, so that's a big plus :) -Matt
