I apply the minoxidil an hour and a half before bed and most of it gets absorbed. My scalp is usually dry in that hour. It varies from person to person and their environment i guess.

Do you massage the minoxidil in? or you just let it dry as semi drops?

at night i usually spread it around really quick with a comb and rub in the minox in my temples. My temples have has the greatest results since they are basically completely grown in with hair. i was receded about an inch inch and a half 11 months later its all covered up. During the day i just spread it around with the dropper line by line since my hair is gelled so you can even notice that i use it cept for the front where i rub it in and is a lil shiny for an hr.

results were quicker then i thought it would take. after 3 months i was able to spike my hair back up again. Im not sure if it was regrowth but my hair density looked thicker so i had the courage to spike it up again and not look to thin under light. lets see let me try to do what shivs did:) 3 months=hair seemed thicker 4-5 months=Terminal hair i guess you call it on my front hair line and temples but growth only on the receding part. so at this point i was really happy that rogaine actually worked. i was able to spike my hair up my hairline dropped down a lil and my receded temples are becoming unreceded:) 6-9 months i felt a lil weird because i wasnt makeing anymore progress and it seemed like i was back tracking i was thinning again but i found out what the problem was. Every since i started rogaine i have been shedding no not hair shedding but the skin on my scalp shedding(not dandruff but big piece s of skin). I didnt really think much of it. But i decided that that skin flaking off is preventing all the minox. Problem easily solved i just run a brush over my scalp couple times at night to tear away at the dead skin. also for the past 9 months i would apply rogaine to a dry i guess kind of dirty scalp from the day:) so i decided i needed a boost since the rogaine seemed to lose effect. 9ish-11 months during these two months hair growth accelerated i guess because during these two months i scrape off all the flakey skin on my scalp i take special attention to the front since it seems to have teh most there so now the rogaine can go to a nice clear scalp and i have also begun just washing my hair with water so i dont strip it of any more oil from using shampoo. i also added nizoral to my routine basically when i feel like it 2-3 times a week. During regular times i use nioxin shampoo(been on this since the begining) i dont use the conditioner cause it makes me feel like i dont have as thick of hair. But during these two months with the factors of wetting my scalp,using nizoral 2%/nioxin, scrapping the dead skin off my scalp nightly i have accelerated hair growth and oh yea these two months there are tons of dark hair covering my temples and at the rate its going id say give it another month or two and it should be completley covered up and i should have a uniformed half circle for a front hairline from i d say an inch receded temple. BTW all this only cost me about 20 bucks a month if not less(probally way less). i buy all my rogaine off ebay so like 10 dollars a month and i bought nioxin HUGE bottle for 16 bucks which last me like 3 months if not more and nizoral 2% 2 bottles for 29 bucks. i dont really follow any like applications routine that much since i dont come home sometimes on friday and saturday so i cant really put it on that night or im just to drunk to put it on:). and i apply rogaine on around 2-4:30 pm every day and 1-2 am at night and just head to bed i just make sure i sleep on my back so i dont rub any of the rogaine from my temples on my pillow:) anywho im done typing if you need to know more go ahead and ask:) i also think that the reason that the results are so good is because i am young only 22. Cant afford to be on propecia plus i dont really want to i want to use that as a last last last resort. and oh yea i do spread the rogaine on my scalp around with a brush and rub in rogaine on the temples. oh yea one more thing my temples on the left isnt as receded so right now its basically all the way back to what it was 5 years ago but my right side was receded double so back 2 inches.
