I heard that Nizoral and Head and Shoulders shampoo is good for thinning hair due to the fact that each shampoos respective active ingrediant disrupts the Dht accumulation in the scalp. Is this true? and if so can they be used everyday? Right now I shampoo 2x a day! once in morning and once at night- followed by minoxidil (1x a day) after the night time shampooing! I use head and shoulders every day and 2% Nizoral every 3 days! Is this OK! I still have all my hair with no receding but it is thinning! I am also taking 50mg zinc supplements 2x a day (1 morning/1 night before bed) along with 600 mg biotin 3x day, as well as 2,000 mg of each vitamin c and e and a gnc b-complex 150 vitamin along with 500mg of L-arginine 2x a day! I'm hoping this is enough for protection from further thinning and possibly some thickening of my hair! I tried Saw Palmetto and I suffered big time sexual side effects (erectile dysfunction and low libido)from which I am still recovering from 2 months later(So I know I will have problems with Propecia)! My erections are back to normal but I am still suffering from low libido still (dont know how long that will take to recover that)! Also it seemed that while on Saw Palmetto my hair seemed to thin very rapidly in a 2 month span while I was using the herb! Any comments are greatly apprciated! Also is there any topical DHT blocker products (shampoos, etc....) that contain saw palmetto or other blockers!
