Hi guy's I just joined the community I just started using 0.5 mg avodart daily for hair loss, mainly in my crown area I will be documenting my result on my blog its called theavodartexperiment its that plus dot com I don't want to post the link directly in here, not sure if its allowed, but you can follow my progress this way

3 months in and still going strong. I think my pics speak for themselves. Its not mind blowing difference yet, but my hair loss has completely stopped and I am seeing improvement in hair quality and amount throughout my head. I am very impressed with this stuff. Ironically I am seeing the most growth in my hairline/temple area, anyone else experiencing this from avodart?

avodartdrew - have you experianced side affects? May I ask how old you are and how long you have been battling hair loss? I recently stopped taking Propecia after nine years due to increased sides. I've heard that avodart usually produces stronger sides.

so your using the real version of it & not a generic? I suggest doin what that guy deejack said he did & apply a capsule topically in your hair. He said he just popped a hole in it & did it once a week> Cant hurt> I had great success with it myself. couldn't afford it. I think if you use the real stuff for about 3-4 months & then move to generic you should be able to not notice a difference & save your self some money. I'm about to restart it soon though thats my plan.

Once a week, moderator? Are you using the .5mg? Did you start with a high dosage and move to .5mg and go to once a week or just added it once a week? I am definitely going to get into the game with Avo once a week if the results are this good...

Well I'll explain the way I did things. I do things differently than most so here it goes... I started with .05 Dut everyday for 90 days and then stepped down to one Dut per week BUT also added Fin (1Mg) daily. So yes, even on the day I take the Dut I also tale the Fin as well.

No Sides so far, but I've been only taking avodart 3 months now.
I am 27 and I started rapidly losing my hair just in the past few years so I went straight for what I concluded was the strongest stuff out there. I am not the type to use all the creams and foams ect ect. On top of that I have sensitive skin/scalp , so by putting anything directly on my scalp or even bothering my hair too much with my hands causes my scalp to get irritated. I took a shot with the daily pill and so far so good. http://www.theavodartexperiment.com

wait a minute? Goa'uld you apparently are using the generic stuff? which version do you use from united? the real avodart, which i assume avodartdrew is using cost $120 for 30 pills? is there basically any difference, i'm been trying to get a real answer for that question for awhile. I used both myself.. the real stuff definately "jumpstarted" my hair at a much faster rate, but who can afford that every month? perhaps once a week would be great.

I just had Hasson & Wong write me a script for Avodart -- since after 12 years the Proscar has lost effectiveness -- so I hope this stuff works! He 'scribed me .5 mg twice a week.

Moj, I dont know where you are but in canada avodart is about $100 for 60 capsules. And it's not the generic one.

I am currently using Dutas (after years on Fin) 2-3 times a week along with 1.25 mg of Proscar a day and am happy to report my shed has stopped (knock wood)

gould have you opened a united pharmacy dutas as i tried to use topically but there is a strong vanella essense sweet smell is this right,as you do here of lots of counterfeit online medicines.

Leo, I didn't say I got it without a prescription. I got the prescription from Dr Wong in Vancouver.
Member 18641, doesn't Avodart contain the DHT blocker that Proscar has, plus its own blocker (the other blocker) ? what's the purpose of using Proscar with Avodart, especially on the same day if Adovart contain the two ?
